One Word Photo Haikus
When a new year rolls around, we often make resolutions or set goals for ourselves. In 2017, I set a goal to post a photo with a one-word caption every single day of the year on my Facebook page. I met this goal and was pretty proud of myself. But being the striving-for-a-better-me person that I am, I decided to add something else.
I have always been a lover of poetry and began writing poems when I was in the fourth grade. I am now in my mid-60’s and still love the art of painting with words that poetry creates. So I decided to add a daily haiku to my photo posts. In 2018 and 2019 I posted a one-word photo with an accompanying haiku every single day. Friends and family looked forward to my posts and sent me lots of encouraging words and thank-you notes for inspiring them. I now intend to continue this ritual until I am no longer able to do so. Perhaps this might be poor health, old-age, or the end of this world as we know it.
I would love to have you follow my journey. Just click on the menu One Word Photo Haikus. You can also follow me on my Facebook Page: Daily Photo Haiku or by following this blog: walkandwriteblog.com.
And so it continues . . .
